J AND A Ministries Mission Statement:
Our mission is to share the many experiences in our journey of applying and obeying of GOD'S WORD to the un-churched, broken, hurting, alienated, and the forgotten. Through spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, we seek to encourage those who may contemplate straying from the walk of the righteous. Every person alive has the opportunity to benefit from the many blessings that our FATHER in Heaven has for those who give HIM priority over their thoughts and actions. Heaven is not promised to the rich, famous or attractive. We must daily make a conscious decision to apply and obey GOD'S WORD, regardless of how it feels, or what others say and do.
J and A Ministries was founded in 2006, as an online entertainment alternative. The internet is filled with negative and wicked things, we wanted something the whole family could benefit from and we reach thousands daily, showing them a better way to think, act, respond and live.

The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) modeled all of that behavior when he reached out to care for the injured man. But there’s a critical fourth step to showing mercy that he also demonstrated. You have to spend whatever it takes. There’s always a cost to kindness and a sacrifice in service. Showing mercy usually requires a sacrifice of time, energy, money, or even your reputation. For example, the Samaritan took the injured man to a hotel. He likely had to walk a great distance, because he put the man on his donkey. He took care of him through the night, he provided for his needs, and then he even paid the bill — all at his own personal expense. He didn’t just call the authorities. He did all he could to help. And what did he have to gain from his service? Nothing. He just did it out of love. And that’s the kind of service and ministry God wants from us. Mercy will cost you, too. It’ll cost you time, money, or potentially relationships. Mercy that doesn’t cost much isn’t worth much. But God promises that when you help hurting people by giving what you have, he will bless you in return. The Bible says, “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring” (Isaiah 58:10-11). In other words, whatever cost you pay to demonstrate mercy, it’ll be worth it. You can count on that.

Forgiveness is free. But it’s not cheap. It cost Jesus Christ his life. And it’s also not easy. Forgiveness can only occur when the offended person volunteers to assume the debt and not to get even or seek revenge. That’s what Jesus did for us. That’s what he calls us to do for others. But how can you release your hurt? The Bible tells us there are three steps we can take to find freedom from unforgiveness. Leave it to God. Give up your right to get even. Trying to get even only escalates the conflict. Instead, let God settle the score. Heal it with grace. The only way to let go of your hurt is to get a hold of God’s grace. The Bible says, “Be careful that none of you fails to respond to the grace which God gives, for if he does there can very easily spring up in him a bitter spirit which is not only bad in itself but can also poison the lives of many others” (Hebrews 12:15 Phillips). Bitterness is contagious. Nail it to the Cross. The Cross is God’s answer to all your needs. Jesus died so you could be forgiven. He died so you could be set free from fear, bitterness, and resentment. There is no psychology, no therapy, no pill, no self-help seminar that can set you free like the power of the cross. The Bible says, “We know that our old life died with Christ on the cross so that our sinful selves would have no power over us and we would not be slaves to sin” (Romans 6:6 ). Don’t be a slave any longer to the sin of unforgiveness. Release your grip on the person who hurt you. Do it every day if you have to. No matter how often that painful memory returns, bring it to GOD, ask for HIS Grace, and then leave your hurt at the cross.
You and I have been given the same mission that Jesus had. It’s one of the most critical acts of mercy we can take. The Bible says, “[God] reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18) https://goo.gl/tR60hi. Your mission is simply to pass on to others the same Good News about God’s love that somebody told you. But God doesn’t expect you to fulfill your mission on your own. He gives you other Christians to support you. In fact, evangelism is something you can do as a small group. God has given us a wonderful example of this in Luke 5:17-26 https://goo.gl/yWf6WI. It’s the story of a group of friends who brought someone to Jesus. They couldn’t find a way to get into the house where Jesus was, so they lowered their paraplegic friend through a hole in the roof on a stretcher, right in the middle of everyone and in front of Jesus. Jesus was impressed by their faith and told the man to get up and walk, and the man immediately did! The people were amazed. In this great story God gives us five principles for how your group can reach out to other people and how you can fulfill your God-given mission in the world. The Principle of Compassion: This small group cared enough for a helpless friend to do something about his pain. Mercy is not just a feeling. It is love in action. The Principle of Cooperation: God has assigned each of us a task in evangelism. Paul says, “I planted the seed and Apollos watered it” (1 Corinthians 3:6) https://goo.gl/Rhn5Wi. In other words, you don’t have to do it all yourself, but you do have to do your part. And God will reward you for it. The Principle of Faith: Jesus says that the faith of paraplegic’s friends leads to him being healed. Nobody is beyond the reach of God’s love. God specializes in doing the impossible. So don’t give up on people you care about. Have faith in what God can do in their lives. The Principle of Action: The friends had a plan, and they put it into action. The paralyzed man needed other people to bring him to Jesus because he couldn’t get there on his own. The Principle of Persistence: The friends could have been discouraged when they couldn’t get into the door because of the crowd, but they didn’t give up. They showed determination. They said, “Whatever it takes, we’re going to bring our friend to Jesus.” Are you willing to go through the roof for a friend? Everybody needs to know Jesus! Without Jesus, people have no hope in eternity. The Christian who doesn’t care about the lost is really saying to the world, “I don’t care about you. You can go to Hell.” But the Bible says, “The Lord is . . . not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 ) https://goo.gl/quNxiz. Don’t get discouraged, and don’t give up. Keep praying, keep asking, keep inviting, and keep working to reach that person for Jesus. Helping people get into Heaven is the greatest act of mercy you can do for them.
LOVE IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF GOD. The Bible says God is Love, so in reverse it must be true that Love is God. Therefore, when you show love to those around you, you are actually showing them what God is like. Do you take joy in an opportunity to show love to those around you? Now loving your friends and family is easy, right? After all, you care about them and want to do what you can to make their lives better. Does the joy of loving others extend to those who are not your closest friends or loved ones? Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone to show love to others? How special it is to be God's hands to someone, to speak His words of kindness, to show love to someone who really needs it. Take joy in the privilege of loving others.
No characteristic describes God more fully than mercy. It’s the first trait that God uses to describe himself in Scripture. It’s also an important characteristic for any serious follower of Jesus to develop. If it’s such a core part of who God is, it’s got to be essential for us.
But what should motivate us to show mercy to people in our lives?
But what should motivate us to show mercy to people in our lives?
- God is merciful.Jesus said, “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful” (Luke 6:36).
Before you judge others for their sins and failures, remember how many times God has forgiven you. When it seems inconvenient to help somebody in need, stop and remember how God has comforted you when you were hurting. When you think about those people who try your patience, stop and remember how patient God has been with you. And when you feel like getting even with somebody who has been unkind or unfair to you, stop and remember how kind God was to you when you were his enemy (see Romans 5:10). - I need mercy every day.I can’t expect to be perfect from now until the time I die, so I’m going to need more mercy. The Bible says, “No mercy will be shown to those who show no mercy to others” (James 2:13). I need God’s forgiveness, kindness, patience, and help every day of my life. God says you get what you give. Forgiveness and mercy are a two-way street.
- Mercy makes me happy.
This “why” question is human nature, and we all ask it. We have this misconception that if we understand the reason behind our pain, then it will make the pain easier. You don’t need an explanation; you need strength. You don’t need an explanation; you need a Savior. You don’t need an explanation; you need comfort and support. But we always go looking for an explanation! We ask questions like, “Why did that person walk out of my life? Why did he make a promise to me and then break it? Why did he hurt me? Why did I lose my job? Why did she die? Why did I get sick?”Friends, I’ve been studying the “why” question for years, and I’m going to give you my educated answer: I don’t know. And I’m never going to know, because I’m not God. And neither are you! Some things we’re just never going to understand until we get to the other side of death. Then it’s all going to become very, very clear. Only God knows. And if you don’t get his answer right off the bat, you might as well stop asking “Why?” because you’re simply prolonging the pain.
Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is God’s privilege to conceal things” . God is a God of revelation. He reveals himself through nature, circumstances, and Scripture. The only reason you know anything about God is because he has chosen to reveal himself.
But the Bible says God doesn’t just reveal; God also conceals. And sometimes God intentionally hides his face from us. Why? So we’ll learn to trust him and to live by faith rather than by our feelings.God doesn’t owe you an explanation for anything. God doesn’t have to check in with you first before he does something. God doesn’t have to get your permission before he allows things to happen in life.God is God, and we’re not always going to understand why some things happen. One day it’s all going to be clear. It’s all going to make sense. You’re going to be able to say, “So that’s why God allowed that in my life!” Until then, God wants you to trust Him.

When we go through major disappointments in life, our natural reaction is to pull back and isolate ourselves. We want to handle it ourselves. We want to keep our losses and failures and mistakes and crises a secret. We want to withdraw. This is a terrible idea!
When you go through disappointment or crisis or loss, that’s when you need your friends the most. You need to accept help from others. God doesn’t intend for you to handle all the pain and stress in your life by yourself. We were wired for each other. We need each other. We’re social beings. The first thing God said in the Garden of Eden is, “It’s not good for man to be alone.” We’re made to be in relationships.
Job 6:14 says, “When desperate people give up on God Almighty, their friends, at least, should stick with them” .
There will be times in your life when you are in so much pain you will say, “I don’t even believe in God right now!” You need to have friends who will come alongside you and say, “That’s okay. We’ll believe God for you right now.”
There will come a time when you’ll say, “I don’t have any faith right now. I’m full of doubt.” That’s when you need your friends to step in and say, “That’s okay. We will have faith for you. We will trust God for you in this.”
“By helping each other with your troubles, you truly obey the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). What is the law of Christ? It’s this: Love your neighbor as yourself. The Bible commands us to help each other. Every time you help somebody who’s going through pain, you are fulfilling the law of Christ.
Trying to handle your trouble yourself will only make you more tired and stressed out. You need to accept the help of others and let your friends carry you through it. And know that God is with you all the way. He is at work in your circumstances, even if you can’t see him working at this point

I know many people who are afraid of getting to know God. They have three fundamental fears in their heart. Many people fear that if they let Jesus into their lives, he’ll take away all their fun, he’ll take away all their freedom, and he’ll turn them into a fanatic.
But when you invite Jesus into your life, he doesn’t make you more religious. He makes you more human. Saint Irenaeus said, “The glory of God is a human being fully alive.” You’re not really living until you’re connected to the Creator who made you.
The bottom line is this: You were made by God and for God. Until you understand that, your life will never make sense. You can try to find life in making money, having fun, or gaining power, but you’ll have a God-shaped hole in your heart. Only God can fill your heart. Until you understand that, your life will not make sense.

God is the source of everything. Everything you see in the world and everything you can’t see in the world and in the universe, God made. He’s the source of every good thing.
As you depend on God as your source for everything, there are four truths you need to remember.
First, everything is a gift from God.
Nothing you have, have you earned. It’s all a gift of God’s grace. If God didn’t want to give it, you wouldn’t have it.
The Bible tells us in James 1:17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above” (NIV). That’s why the Lord’s Prayer in this third phrase starts with the word “give.” “Give us this day our daily bread.” Why? Because it is a gift. You can’t earn it.
Second, there’s nothing you need that God can’t provide. You don’t know what you’re going to need the rest of this year. But whatever it is, God has the power to supply it.
The Bible says this in Philippians 4:19: “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Glorious resources means as lavish as only God can lavish. God has unlimited resources.
Third, God wants to give you everything you need.
Matthew 7:11 says, “If you ... know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” God wants to meet your need.
And, here’s the fourth thing: He’s waiting on you.
If you have needs in your life that are not being met, it’s not God’s fault. You’re not waiting on God. He’s waiting on you! The problem is not that God doesn’t want to meet your need; the problem is that you never ask him for it. James 4:2 says, “You do not have because you do not ask God.

God has established the church and the home as the two primary sources of protection and shelter from the perils of sin and the torment of the enemy. The choice is placed before us. It is not vague or hidden. Choosing to live life in the covering of God's shadow, or choosing to live life in the open, unprotected field where Satan has free range, is all up to us. Serving God and loving each other as a committed couple will have an everlasting dynamic effect on everything and everyone you contact. God is specific, organized, intentional, and holy. His promises are for His children. His blessings are infinite and abundant. God is anxiously waiting on us to stay fixed on His solid foundation so that He can extravagantly bless us. Now that is worth every effort to receive training and get prepared to live like children of royalty!
God's plan for each one of us has our best interest in mind. His way leads to fullness of life. Yet He did not create us to be robots that blindly and lifelessly live their godly life. No, the Lord grants us the choice of whether or not to obey Him. Our human nature tends to choose a self-centered path that turns away from God's authority. But in doing so, we miss His best for us.
Consider the life of King Saul. God chose this man to be king and provided guidelines for him to follow. Though Saul knew the Lord's instructions, he chose to do things his own way. At times his sin was unquestionably deliberate, such as his attempt to kill David out of jealousy. At other times, however, his rebellion seemed less clear-cut. For example, despite God's order to "utterly destroy" the Amalekites and their animals, Saul spared the best of the herd, with the justification that they were "to sacrifice to the Lord" (1 Sam. 15:3, 21). His disobedient choices cost him the throne and eventually led to his destruction. This man chose the road that satisfied his immediate fleshly desires, but as we know from history, the end result was hardly fulfilling. We can learn from Saul's mistakes. Partial obedience is actually disobedience. And any disobedience falls in the category of rebellion, which is sin. Each day, we face the same types of choices. Though the details are different, both large and small temptations lure us. We can live according to Christ's will, following His lead and listening for His voice. Or we can refuse. Choose today to live God's way--which leads to fullness of life. |
Learn to stretch your faith. Declare and believe something in God's Word you haven't declared before. Declare that it belongs to you! Become an active participant. You must pursue your blessings to renew your strength. Do you need healing? Meditate and dwell on the healing scriptures and the sacrifice that Christ already made for you. See it vividly in your mind as already done. Teach your heart ❤️ and your mind to really know what Psalm 91 says about you. Allow it to become engrafted in you. As you follow this advice, you will receive not only healing but also provision and protection, and that thing you've been asking God for will manifest itself in your life.
Is there a promise in God's Word you're not enjoying but would love ❤️ to possess? Make it yours. Live by the Book. Go after it. Declare it, confess it, and believe it. Obey God's instructions and live like royalty. When you fall in love with Jesus - you just can’t help but change because - Jesus changes you! The old person that you once were - is gone and your new life as a Christian now defines who you are. However, you can not experience a vibrant life in Christ one moment and dance with the devil the next! You must take sides and choose whom you will serve, because you can only serve “one Master!” If you choose to “dabble” in sin, you will be absolutely miserable! You simply can not lie, cheat, gossip or any other sin and live a life of purity and commitment to your Lord and Savior. The Bible says in Joshua 24:15, “ . . . choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve . . . But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Make God first in your life and you will experience the real joy in living - for Jesus IS the joy in life and it is not possible to be happy and serve Satan! Make your choice to serve Jesus and don’t dance with the devil!

If you ever think that you still have much to learn in life, and if you ever wish that you knew more about how to handle people, then look to God for wisdom. While educational institutions provide diplomas at great expense, God gives wisdom freely to all who ask. (See James 1:5 for more on asking God for wisdom.) When we see evil leaders who live long and good leaders who die young, we may wonder if God still controls world events. Daniel saw evil rulers with almost limitless power, but Daniel knew and proclaimed that God “removes kings and sets up other kings,” and that he controls everything that happens. God governs the world according to his purposes. You may be dismayed when you see evil people prosper, but God is in control. Let this knowledge give you confidence and peace no matter what happens.
If God gave us everything that we “think” we want - in most cases it probably wouldn’t make us very happy. Too often the things that we think we just “have to have,” isn’t good for us at all - and if we were to see the end from the beginning, we wouldn’t want it anyway! Having what we want and wanting what we have - are two very different things! Instead of always wanting more in life - it’s good to take stock of what we “do” have and take time to appreciate God’s blessings. There’s a wonderful feeling of freedom when we are not always chasing after something bigger and better than what we have. Take time to “smell the roses,” and appreciate God’s amazing gifts that He has already given us. The Bible says in Philippians 4:11, “I have learned to be content with whatever I have.” Learning to be content is a really good lesson for all of us and then we can truly love and appreciate God’s amazing gifts!
JEALOUSY means, "envy, suspicion, watchfulness, distrust, and possessiveness." There will come a time in almost every woman's/man's life when they will feel jealous of another person. It may be because she/he feels that their husband/wife is paying too much flattery to another woman/man or because of competition, or because Satan introduces a spirit of jealousy. A spirit is a supernatural entity. There are good spirits, such as the Holy Spirit, and there are demonic spirits such as the spirits of jealousy, suspicion, fear, torment, infirmity, lying, and many more. They all have one thing in common: disruption. If a person allows them entry, they will cause havoc and disappointment. Jealousy is a foul, unclean spirit whose sole purpose is to cause havoc, torment, and destruction. If action is not taken, the tormenting spirits will pile one on top of the other, and you will deal with not just one spirit but many.

When bringing your requests before the throne room of God, it’s important to remember that God knows what is best for you and you need to trust Him to answer according to His will - not yours. But far too often Christians approach God with their “To Do List,” and even worse - tell Him ‘how’ to answer their prayers! When spiritual stubbornness overtakes your faith in God, it’s not long before you get irritated and blame Him if you don’t get your way! But you will never experience real joy and happiness unless you allow God to come into your heart and life and give Him full control! No matter how much you want God to work a miracle on your behalf - you need to give up your desires and expectations and trust Him to make the decision that is best for you. The Bible says in James 4:3, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” When you don’t get the job you wanted, broken because you are childless, or you don’t get the diagnosis you were hoping for - it doesn’t mean that God doesn’t love you or has abandoned you. God has good reasons why He does what He does but He is NOT ignoring you - He ‘always’ answers prayer! It may be that healing won’t happen until you get to heaven and get a new body - but as long as you are following Jesus and His plan for your life - it’s all good! You have nothing to worry about because God has you covered! Don’t blame Him for not getting what you want - instead, pray for more faith to trust Him more for He is still in the miracle-making business today and has the power to change your life - preparing you for eternity. Yes . . . it’s all good!

Everything visible and physical is controlled or derived from that which is invisible and spiritual. If you want to fix the visible and physical problems you are experiencing in your life, you have to address the spiritual and invisible issues behind them. Why? Because if you don’t address the spiritual and invisible, then you will not have addressed the divine precursor from which to solve the tangibly manifested issues at hand. What you can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell in your physical senses must first be addressed from God’s realm before you can make any lasting and real difference on the earthly level.
Satan wants to get you to skip the divine perspective because he knows that you will never be able to solve your visible and physical problems until you address them from the divine realm. Heaven rules earth. What happens up there determines what goes on down here. So in order to actualize success in the challenges that you face, you need to remain in contact with heaven in order to tap into the solutions you desire for earth. In other words, abide in Christ.

As a born-again believer who is filled with the Holy Spirit, you are equipped to go into battle for your children and family. Our weapons are not of the flesh. The Bible says they are "mighty in God for pulling down strongholds" (2Cor. 10:4). Use your spiritual weapons: the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, the power of the Holy Spirit, praise and worship, the prayer of agreement, and the Word of God. When you put these spiritual weapons into action, you will see the walls of deception and the strongholds of the enemy destroyed in the lives of your loved ones.
Rebuke the spirit of fear and strengthen your inner man with truth. Take up your shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit (the Bible), and you will be amazed at what God will do through your trust and confidence in His Word. Remember, It is not your power or your strength but God's Spirit at work through you.
GOD ALMIGHTY IS STILL IN CONTROL!!
I bind the works of the enemy from interfering in our life and family. I plead the blood of Jesus over our families and declare that God has given us power and authority over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall harm us.
